Dragonfly Florist is the trading name that will appear on any credit or debit card statements used to purchase orders.
All products (as may be varied from time to time) are available within a 8 miles radius of Hetton, Houghton le spring. For events and weddings our products are widely available. Dragonfly Florist prides itself on stunning floristry and makes every effort to provide the exact varieties discussed. Sometimes, however, due to circumstances beyond our control – such as extreme weather or supply issues – it may be necessary to substitute with a similar flower.
Fresh flowers colours can vary from images shown.
Dragonfly Florists products may be delivered by us in bud to ensure longer life. Some flowers are potentially an irritant or have poisons, we will of course advise on this. All products are delivered with a care card.
In the event that we are unable to supply or deliver the product or any substitute product for reasons beyond our control, we shall notify you as soon as is reasonably possible and shall reimburse your payment in full and in any event no later than 30 days after the intended delivery date.
Under the consumer rights act 2015, items sold by Dragonfly Florist will be as described, of satisfactory quality and fit for purpose.
Any services by the Dragonfly Florist, such as advice about the best flowers or bouquets to purchase, will be provided with reasonable care and skill..
Prices will be clearly stated for our services via a quotation either in print or via email and are valid for a maximum of 14 days.
Orders may be online,by telephone, email and face to face. Payments will be taken online via telephone or face to face, all major cards accepted. Payments are taken upfront at the time of order. (See wedding and event policy below
Timescales for orders
1) For any funeral tribute, orders must be placed before 10.00 am Monday to Friday 48 hours prior to delivery time required.
2) For all other orders for next day delivery, orders must be placed before 10.00 am Monday to Friday prior to the day of delivery.
3) No deliveries available on Sundays
Once you have submitted your order you will receive a submission email, your confirmation email will follow shortly.
Your design will be beautifully made up and the message card hand written and inserted into your tribute. Your tribute is then delivered to the funeral director or your chosen address. We will always endeavour to send you a text message once this has been done for your peace of mind that the flowers have safely arrived.

Cancellation: any cancellation notice should be via telephone or email 24 hours prior to delivery.
Local delivery charge within Sunderland is free.

Incorrect personal details may lead to problems or delays in delivery, so before placing your order, please ensure that you have included the full address details, including accurate postcode of the intended recipient and your daytime contact telephone number or e-mail address so that we can notify you in the event of any problems. In case of delivery to certain locations where a third party is involved, such as hospitals, airports, hotels and ships, the signature of any person authorised to accept delivery on behalf of the organisation shall be accepted as proof of delivery to your chosen recipient.

Because of the perishable nature of our products and in order to assist us in resolving any complaints quickly and to our mutual satisfaction, we advise you to make any complaint within 1 working day of the date of delivery or intended delivery of your purchase.
Whilst we agree to use our reasonable endeavours to ensure that the Dragonfly Florist website and Dragonfly Florist service is fully operational and error-free we cannot guarantee this and, therefore, accept no responsibility for any defects and/or interruption of the site or service and shall be released from our obligations under these Terms and Conditions in the event of any cause beyond our reasonable control which renders the provision of the site or the service impossible or impractical. General We reserve the right to supplement and amend the Terms and Conditions on which you are permitted access to theDragonfly Florist site and service from time to time. We will post any changes on our social media channels.
Wedding and event terms and conditions
The full balance for the contracted work is required six weeks before the wedding. It is the client’s responsibility to ensure that the invoice details are correct. Any changes will be brought together at a meeting, via email or on the phone approximately two months ahead of the wedding, when all additional ideas and revisions can be addressed. This is rather than an on-going email correspondence, which we feel can result in confusion. Amendments can be made but if the total cost falls below 70% of the total confirmed quite, we reserve the right to withdraw from the contract – in this instance the booking fee will be retrained. The total price includes delivery of flowers on the day to the address specified on the order sheet and is subject to a minimum order
value of £400.00. Additional deliveries will be subject to a charge. Whilst we endeavour to make all deliveries within sufficient time before the event, we cannot be held responsible for any unexpected events that may occur which are beyond our control. We will endeavour to make alternative arrangements should this happen. In this event, refunds will be at our discretion. Dragonfly Florist prides itself on stunning floristry and makes every effort to provide the exact varieties discussed. Sometimes, however, due to circumstances beyond our control – such as extreme weather or supply issues – it may be necessary to substitute.Dragonfly Florist reserves the right, without penalty or cancellation by the client, to alter the style and shape of vases, pots, sundry items and display articles should any required items become unavailable prior to the wedding date. All hired items are subject to a £100.00 deposit charge. The client is fully responsible for all damaged or missing items and the cost of all such items will be deducted from the deposit charge at full retail value. The deposit charge will be returned in full on safe collection of all Dragonfly Florist property. Should the client have any issues with the quality or standard of the flowers/designs, the client must notify the florist on the day of receipt. Dragonfly Florist reserves the right to rectify any errors on the day without prejudice. Any complaints regarding the quality, shape, size, quantity etc cannot be accepted after the day of the event.
